Chiangmai — a province in the north of Thailand, the resting place for many people, including me.

To escape the hustle and bustle of the capital, laying in the countryside for a few nights is a lifesaver after hard work. Waking up to the beauty of the forest, watching the sunrise without any electrical wires blocking the view, breathing fresh air to fill the lungs without worrying about the dust from the exhaust pipe, the wonderful things that many people dream of.

In August 2020, my friends and I had the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai for the 2nd time. Chiang Mai on the 2nd time is not that different from the first time. Only this time, I had the opportunity to visit Mae Taeng, a district in Chiang Mai which is about 60 kilometers away from the city. It takes about an hour to drive to “Wowda homestay”, a homestay in Mae Taeng district.

It was raining all day long as the sky teased us, so I couldn't go anywhere else on the mountain. However, the homestay provides free activities that tourists can do, such as picking fresh oranges without pesticides or watching the alluring sunrise. Even during that time it was the rainy season but staying in a room, sipping hot coffee, eating local snacks provided by the homestay, and talking with friends is a peaceful place that cannot be found in a capital city like Bangkok.

The sound of the wind blows along with the trees gently, of course, when it rains there must be wind. Being on a mountain surrounded by green nature as far as the eye can see, looking to the right is a mountain, looking towards the left side you will see the villagers' farms, sit and rest on the balcony to get the cool breeze blowing in.

The sound of the sizzle of the pork being roasted on the hot pan was heard mingled with the sound of the wind, the smell of the pork being roasted on the charcoal grill was too nice to bear. The rooster crowing in silence, awakened people from sleep instead of the alarm clock. Stretching lazily, unfortunately, it's already morning. Sleeping in peace is much more efficient than sleeping in loud noise in the city.

The white mist floated in front of the room as if this was heaven, when stepping out onto the balcony, I had to hurriedly take my feet back to the room. Because of the cold weather and the dew that had been dripping. It's unbelievable that there is such a cold place in Thailand. The unique smell of hot porridge and the freshly fried Patongo were set up for breakfast. Eating breakfast while watching the green mountains instead of checking on the phone.

If someone asks for a place where they can rest their mind without worrying about anything, Wowda homestay will be the first place in my mind that I think of. At the place where they left everyone had to exclaim "wow!", Really worthy of the name Wowda Homestay.
