With more than 95,000 new vehicles sold through November, up nearly 18% from the same month in 2021.

The electric car maker continues to make zero-emissions vehicles mainstream in Australia.

The Tesla Model Y – which was recently named 2022 Car of the Year by News Corp Australia – ranked 10th overall in November sales.

Australians bought 1,805 Model Ys and 391 Model 3 sedans last month.

Tesla’s sales of 2,196 for the month accounted for about half of all electric car sales in Australia.

It also topped mainstream brands like Honda
Nissan and Suzuki.

MG was the seventh best-selling manufacturer in November
It sold 5,497 vehicles, just 22 behind automaker Hyundai and ahead of big names like Volkswagen (3,045) and Subaru (3,701).

MG sold 3,051 units of the ZS small SUV
Enough to make it the fourth most popular car in November.

The ZS is also the best-selling SUV in the country
Beating out the popular Toyota RAV4 (2282) and Mazda CX-5 (1949).

Great Wall Motor (GWM)
Which includes Haval, has sold nearly 3,000 vehicles, with sales up more than 47% for the month and 29% for the year.

Commercial vehicle-focused LDVs are proving to be popular as sales continue to grow.

Electric car maker BYD posted an impressive first-month sales of 845 vehicles.

In November
China became the third-largest car exporter after Australia, surpassing South Korea.

New car buyers in Australia continue to buy Utes at breakneck pace.

The Toyota HiLux (5440) and Ford Ranger (5073) were the best-selling vehicles nationwide.

Sales of the popular and expensive four-wheel-drive vehicle continued to soar as Ford
Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota posted positive growth over the past month.

Large American pickups from Ram and Chevrolet continue to grow
Australians bought almost twice as many Ram 1500s in November as they did in the same month last year.

Sales at the South Korean automaker plummeted again last month.

It unveiled a new small SUV
The Qashqai, a mid-size SUV, the X-Trail, and a larger SUV, the Pathfinder, as well as a new Z sports car that was unveiled just a few months ago.

Some of the biggest names in the industry
Including Audi, BMW and Lexus, have seen sharp declines in sales.

Lexus fell nearly 25% for the year
Audi fell more than 10%, and BMW fell more than 5%.

Mercedes-Benz fared slightly better
Selling about 1,400 fewer cars this year than last.

Sales of British brands Jaguar and Land Rover fell by 42% and 33% respectively.

Volvo is one of the few bright spots of continued growth
Sales rose 59 percent in November and about 15 percent for the year.
