Dear Mr. Pakorn,
Recently I just found a quote said by someone on the internet
“在这个世界上,没有什么是抗不过去的。”
It is an interesting quote of which some points I agree with, and some I do not.
Is it really possible for us, an ordinary man and woman, to fight against and conquer everything in our lives? To stand high and tall even when the wind is coming?
Maybe we can, but most of the time we probably do not have that much confident in ourselves.
Maybe if we were born as Caesar, we might be able to proudly say that we will fight and definitely we will conquer. He is Caesar The Great after all.
“Veni, Vidi, Vici”[1], he said or that was what we believed he had said once during his lifetime.
Life is so confusing and complicated to the point that many times in our lives we hope for a manual on how to lead a happy life or at least a pretty decent life.
Being alive is already hard, but to live is harder.
But you are different. You have lived well.
You become successful at a very young age, gaining popularity, being loved from people all around the world. Maybe you can say that you have lived a blessed life. Life that is blessed with happiness, sheer laughter, wonder, ambition and equipped so much with experience, knowledge and wisdom that will always be with you until the end of the time.
2020 is supposed to be the start of something new, something important, something special.
It is supposed to be a year of happiness and blessing especially for you. It is supposed to be a year for your passion and curiosity in academic world. But life just does not work that way.
Now we are instead stuck in the middle of pandemic, of economic depression, of many bad things – and the list just goes infinitely long.
Still, amid this chaos, we strive; we seek new way to find peace and joy because we are still breathing and that is already a gift (though someone might see it as a curse). Nonetheless, I sincerely, wholeheartedly, hope that no matter how hard life is, and will be, you will still be able to keep growing, and moving forward.
In this year and age, I hope you can find some occasion to celebrate and just genuinely be happy because we all deserve it.
YOU deserve it.
YOU are special and I hope you know how special you are.
“If nothing saves us from death, at least love should save us from life.” -- Pablo Neruda
I hope you can find the love that will always save you.
Happy Birthday: -)
