Hi!

Welcome to my first chit-chat and mini review in “bits and pieces,” my new story on Minimore. Starting this blog hands me a chance to go through all my belongings and reminisce upon the good memories behind all those things. Also, after my graduation, I haven’t sat down and written any pieces of work for a while, so this might be a good start to brush off my writing skills which are now getting a bit rusty as you guys may have noticed.

Never before have I realised that I own so many pink items, but this upcoming Valentine’s Day prompts me to rummage through all the pink stuff I have (however, this blog will not be including all of the items I own because some are no longer in the market and the others are not available in Thailand). Valentine’s doesn’t have to be pink or red, but would it be better to fill your life with bits of sweetness this lovely colour could give you? 

Before we get right into it, let me just say I really hope this might give you an idea about what to buy for your loved ones and yourself in this love-filled month :)

To make it’s easier to follow, I’ve categorised all the items into three groups: gadgets and tech accessories, stationery and other miscellaneous items which I’m going to name it “Komono” as Marie Kondo suggests to spice it up just a little. Okay, now let’s get started with the first category.

Gadgets and Tech Accessories

First I have a pastel pink MacBook case I bought at MBK. I’m kind of a low-tech person, so I’m not sure its being a hard, plastic case causes overheating or not, but so far it’s been serving its purpose of protecting my laptop quite well. With its soft pink colour, it gives me a positive energy whenever I pull it out of my laptop sleeve and makes my working hours not too dull to endure. Speaking of a laptop sleeve, I also have one in case a plastic case is not enough. 

My Mori 13” laptop sleeve is not all that pinky with a little touch of deep blue and white colours. The inner side is padded with spongy, velveteen cloth that safeguards your laptop. Mori is a pretty famous brand among high-school and college students especially for its canvas tote bags. The water colour kind of pattern of both the tote bags and laptop sleeves totally speaks for the brand’s signature that even I’m 300 metres away, I’ll definitely recognise that they belong to Mori. So if you love minimal yet colourful designs, go for this brand. 

This peachy pink iPhone case with a cute, little apple logo on the back is from a stall on the G Floor at Center Point Siam. Because it’s made from silicone, it doesn’t cause overheating when you charge your phone. But one drawback of a silicone case that I’ve experienced is that it picks up dust and lints and it’s unavoidable :(

The last item in this tech category is finally a gadget. Like I said earlier, I’m not a techie, so I don’t usually buy any gadgets and this one came into my possession out of sheer coincidence. Now I’m living mostly at my dormitory in Bangkok, but sometimes I go back home and the last time I went there, I forgot my power adapter and USB cable. Luckily, I have a spare adapter, but I still had to buy a new cable and this Belkin iPhone/iPad cable just caught my eyes. It comes with a pastel pink double-braided nylon that you might expect it to be stiff, but actually it’s quite flexible and I’ve not encountered any problems using it. Plus, it’s so cute.

Stationery

Start off the second category, which is what I’m really into at the moment, with Stabilo Boss Original in Pink colour. These pastel highlighters come in six colours and three editions: Stabilo Boss Original, Stabilo Boss Mini and Stabilo Swing Cool which is kind of thinner and easier to carry around in your pencil case. The ones in my stationery collection is the original ones. The colours they give are on point, not to bright and too dark, but one of the drawbacks is that they usually bleed through pages and leave marks at the end of your highlighted lines. 

Komono (Miscellaneous Items)

I could just name this category ‘Miscellaneous,’ but somehow I love how fancy Komono sounds and since we’re all in the craze of “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo,” I think this name is perfectly suitable. Admittedly, some items, or perhaps all of the items in this section, are not much of a miscellaneous item, rather, they could be categorised as essentials, But yeah, some miscellaneous items are important to our everyday life and other necessary things can be miscellaneous as well, so why not put everything you don’t know where to put in this list. 

The first item in the last category is Thames women’s wallet my mom bought me. It’s in old rose pink and printed on it are white and dusty-pink flowers. It also comes with a wrist strap in the same pattern and a purple pink tag on which the word Thames is engraved. Inside the wallet, you have three card holders on each side and a coin bag in the middle. This wallet is medium-sized, so it’s easy to carry in your bag, but it might not be banknote-friendly as you have to fold your notes when you keep it and it’s quite difficult to find if you’re in hurry.

Ah, we have finally come to a miscellaneous item. Now I have an IKEA cushion which is so cheap, but so good. It’s very fluffy and helps support my back when I work and watch series (warning: ergonomically speaking, it might not be designed for back support, but considering the price, it’s really comfortable). Like any other things I have, this cushion also comes with baby pink colour that cheers me up during gloomy days.

Last but not least, I have Own Day’s Graph Bell glasses, which to be honest is an essential because I’m short-sighted. The glasses’ temples are in dusty rose, white and tea brown colours in abalone shell pattern that go hand in hand with the gold frame. Besides the design, the starting price for this frame plus lenses here at Own Day is amazingly reasonable, at only 2,990 baht. However, if you want to specialise your lenses, say, adding blue light filter, an additional prise will be charged starting from 3,000 baht. Overall, it’s still worth the prise as every Own Day customer can get post-purchase services from any Own Day shops around the world.

ยินดีต้อนรับสู่บล็อกเม้ามอยและมินิรีวิวแรกของเราในสตอรี่ใหม่ที่มีชื่อว่า “bits and pieces” ใน Minimore ค่ะ การเริ่มต้นบล็อกนี้เป็นโอกาสดีที่ทำให้เราได้คุ้ยข้าวของของเรา ซึ่งบ้างชิ้นก็เก่าเก็บแล้ว และทำให้เราได้คิดถึงความทรงจำเบื้องหลังข้าวของเหล่านี้ นอกจากนั้นแล้ว เราเองก็อยากถือเอาโอกาสนี้ปัดฝุ่นการเขียนของเราเสียหน่อย เพราะตั้งแต่เรียนจบมาได้ปีกว่า การเขียนของเราก็ฝืดเคืองไปมาก ทุกคนอาจจะสังเกตได้

ก่อนเข้าเรื่อง เราขอท้าวความก่อนว่าก่อนหน้าจะเขียนบล็อกนี้ เราแทบไม่รู้ตัวเลยว่ามีข้าวของสีชมพูมากขนาดนี้ แต่พอมองไปรอบตัว อ้าว เราก็เป็นสาวกสีชมพูเหรอเนี่ย? จริงๆ มีเยอะกว่าสิบชิ้นนะ แต่บางอย่างก็ไม่มีขายแล้ว ไม่ก็ไม่มีในไทย เลยขอรวบรวมมาแค่สิบชิ้น ถึงแม้วาเลนไทน์จะไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นสีชมพูหรือสีแดงเสมอไป แต่คิดๆ ดูแล้ว มาเติมความหวานให้ชีวิตด้วยสีชมพูกันสักหน่อยก็คงดีไม่น้อย สุดท้ายก่อนจะเริ่มกัน เราหวังว่าบล็อกนี้จะให้ไอเดียอะไรกับทุกคนที่ได้อ่าน เผื่ออยากซื้อของขวัญให้ตัวเองหรือคนที่รักในเดือนแห่งความรักนี้นะคะ

เพื่อให้ง่ายต่อการอ่าน เราจะขอแบ่งหมวดหมู่ข้าวของออกเป็นสามหมวด ได้แก่ หมวดอุปกรณ์เสริมสำหรับสมาร์ทโฟนและแล็ปท็อป เครื่องเขียน และของจิปาภะ หรือที่คุณมารี คนโดะเรียกว่า “โคโมโนะ” ซึ่งเราคิดว่ามันน่ารักดี เอาล่ะ ไปเริ่มกันเล้ยยย

อุปกรณ์เสริมสำหรับสมาร์ทโฟนและแล็ปท็อป

ของชิ้นแรกที่เรามี ได้แก่ เคส MacBook Air 13 นิ้ว จาก MBK เราค่อนข้างเป็นคนโลว์เทค เพราะฉะนั้น เราขอสารภาพก่อนเลยว่าเราไม่แน่ใจว่าการใช้เคสพลาสติกแข็งแบบนี้จะทำให้เครื่องร้อนเกินหรือเปล่า แต่เท่าที่ใช้มา เคสตัวนี้ตอบโจทย์ในการปกป้องแล็ปท็อปของเราได้ดีเลยทีเดียว และสีชมพูของตัวเคสก็ทำให้เรารู้สึกสดชื่นเหมือนได้พลังงานบวก เวลาหยิบแล็ปท็อปออกมาจากซอง และทำให้วันทำงานของเรา ไม่น่าเบื่อเกิน

พูดถึงซองใส่แล็ปท็อปกันไปแล้ว ก็มาต่อกันที่ซองใส่แล็ปท็อปที่ว่านั่นกันเลยแล้วกัน ซองใส่แล็ปท็อปจาก Mori ของเราอาจจะไม่ตรงโจทย์เสียทีเดียว เพราะมันไม่ได้มีสีชมพูล้วน แต่แซมด้วยสีน้ำเงินเข้มและสีขาว ข้างในจะบุด้วยผ้านุ่มกันกระแทกที่ช่วยปกป้องแล็ปท็อปของเราอีกแรง หลายคนคงเคยได้ยินชื่อแบรนด์ Mori เพราะกระเป๋าผ้าแบรนด์นี้ค่อนข้างดังในหมู่เด็กนักเรียนและนักศึกษาพอสมควร และต้องบอกเลยว่าทั้งกระเป๋าผ้าและซองใส่แล็ปท็อปของแบรนด์นี้มีเอกลักษณ์ของตัวเองมาก เราคิดว่าถ้าเราอยู่ห่างไป 300 เมตร แล้วมีคนถืออยู่ เราก็รู้ว่าเป็นแบรนด์นี้ ดังนั้น ใครที่ชอบลวดลายอย่างพวกลายน้ำ หรือลายมินิมอลที่ก็ยังดูมีสีสัน ขอเชิญแบรนด์นี้เลยจ้ะ

ต่อมา เคสโทรศัพท์มือถือสีชมพูพีชชิ้นนี้ เราได้มาจากร้านแผงที่ชั้นหนึ่งของ Center Point Siam ด้านหลังของเคสจะมีลายแอปเปิลสีพีชเล็กๆ ซึ่งน่ารักมาก และข้อดีอีกอย่างของเจ้าเคสซิลิโคนตัวนี้ก็คือมันไม่ทำให้เครื่องร้อนเกิน เวลาชาร์จ แต่ข้อเสียก็คือด้วยความที่เป็นซิลิโคน มันจะติดฝุ่นหรือเศษอะไรเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ทุกอย่างเลย และตอนนี้เราก็ยังหาวิธีแก้ไม่ได้ :(

ชิ้นสุดท้ายในหมวดอุปกรณ์เสริมของเราเป็นอุปกรณ์เสริมของจริงสักที หลังจากที่พูดไปทั้งหมดเป็นเหมือนอุปกรณ์ตกแต่งเสียมากกว่า อย่างที่เราบอกไปว่าเราไม่ใช่คนอินกับเทคโนโลยีมาก พวกอุปกรณ์เสริมต่างๆ เราก็ไม่ค่อยซื้อ แต่เจ้าของชิ้นนี้กลายมาเป็นของของเราด้วยความบังเอิญ ตอนนี้เราอยู่หอในกรุงเทพฯ เป็นหลัก แต่ก็กลับบ้านบ้างเป็นครั้งคราว และเผอิญครั้งล่าสุดที่กลับไป เราลืมสายชาร์จไว้ที่บ้าน หายนะแล้วสิ ฮ่าๆ โชคดีที่เรามีหัวอแดปเตอร์สำรองอยู่ แต่ยังไงๆ ก็ต้องซื้อสายเคเบิลเชื่อม และสายเคเบิลสำหรับ iPhone และ iPad จาก Belkin ชิ้นนี้ก็สะดุดตาสะดุดใจเรามาก ด้านนอกของสายจะหุ้มด้วยไนลอนถักสีชมพูพาสเทลสองชั้น ซึ่งทำให้เราคิดว่ามันน่าจะงอยาก แต่จริงๆ แล้ว ถือว่าบิดงอง่ายไม่เสี่ยงหัก และเท่าที่ใช้มาก็ยังไม่เจอปัญหาในการใช้งานใดๆ ค่ะ

เครื่องเขียน

เริ่มต้นหมวดเครื่องเขียนกันด้วยไฮไลต์สีชมพูจาก Stabilo Boss Original จ้ะ ที่จริงแล้ว ไฮไลต์สีพาสเทลของ Stabilo จะมีด้วยกันหกสีและสามรุ่น ได้แก่ รุ่น Stabilo Boss Orginal Stabilo Boss Mini และ Stabilo Swing Cool ซึ่งจะมีรูปทรงที่เรียวกว่าและพกพาสะดวกกว่า แต่รุ่นที่เรามีจะเป็นรุ่นแรกทรงป้อม สีของไฮไลต์ Stabilo พาสเทลรุ่นนี้ ส่วนตัวบอกเลยว่าพอดิบพอดีมาก แต่ข้อเสียก็คือบางครั้งมันจะชอบซึมผ่านกระดาษและทิ้งรอยเข้มๆ ไว้ ตรงจุดสิ้นสุดที่เราต้องการไฮไลต์

ของชิ้นต่อมาในหมวดนี้ที่เราขอนำเสนอ ได้แก่ แฟ้มใส่เอกสารเก้าช่อง จาก Artbox Korea@Asia Book ณ  Central World แฟ้มนี้มีประโยชน์มากสำหรับนักเรียนหรือคนทำงานที่มีเอกสารที่ต้องต้องจัดเก็บให้เป็นระบบเยอะๆ เพราะมีถึงเก้าช่อง นอกจากประโยชน์ด้านการใช้งานแล้ว การเล่นสีระหว่างสีกรมท่ากับสีชมพูสดใสก็ทำได้ดี สีเข้มช่วยตัดให้สีชมพูดดูไม่น่าเบื่อเกินไปเวลามองค่ะ

ของชิ้นสุดท้ายในหมวดที่เรารักมากที่สุดคือกระเป๋าใส่ดินสอจาก Kipling รุ่นที่ใส่ได้ 100 ด้าม เราไม่รู้จะอธิบายยังไงเลยว่าเรารักกระเป๋าดินสอใบนี้มาก และมันก็เป็นตัวเรามาก จนเราไม่สามารถห้ามตัวเองไม่ให้ซื้อมันได้ เจ้ากระเป๋าดินสอใบนี้สามารถใส่ปากกาและดินสอได้ 100 ด้ามตามคำกล่าวอ้างคุณสมบัติจริงๆ แต่โดยปกติ เราก็จะไม่พกดินสอหรือปากกา 100 ด้ามไปมา เราก็เลยใช้ช่องที่ใหญ่ที่สุดเก็บแพลนเนอร์และวาชิเทป ส่วนปากกาและดินสอ เราจะเหน็บไว้อีกด้านของฝาปิดและที่แผ่นกั้นตรงกลาง ในส่วนของสีสันและดีไซน์ ต้องบอกว่าส่วนตัวกรี๊ดกร๊าดมาก ฮ่า เราตกหลุมรักสีชมพูดสดที่แต้มด้วยลายหยดน้ำและดาวสีทองของกระเป๋าใบนี้มาก ถ้าใครเป็นพวกบ้าเครื่องเขียน กระเป๋าดินสอนี้คือคำตอบ แต่ด้วยขนาดของมัน อาจจะทำให้พกพายากไปสักเล็กน้อย

โคโมโนะ (ของจิปาถะ)

จริงๆ เราจะตั้งชื่อหมวดหมู่นี้ว่าของจิปาถะเฉยๆ ก็ได้ แต่รู้สึกว่าชื่อโคโมโนะมันน่ารักดี และตอนนี้หลายคนก็กำลังอินกับรายการ “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo” ทาง Netflix อยู่ด้วย ก็เลยแอบยืมชื่อนี้จากคุณมารี คนโดะมาสักหน่อย อิอิ ก่อนอื่นต้องสารภาพก่อนว่าของบางอย่างในหมวดอาจจะงงๆ หน่อย บางอย่างเป็นของจำเป็นมากกว่าจะเป็นของจิปาถะ แต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้น เพราะเราไม่รู้ว่าจะจัดมันในหมวดหมู่ไหน ก็เลยยำเละให้เป็นของจิปาถะไปเลย

เริ่มจากของชิ้นแรกในหมวดหมู่สุดท้าย กระเป๋าสตางค์ Thames ที่คุณแม่ของเราซื้อให้ มันเป็นกระเป๋าสีชมพูโอลด์โรสที่แต้มด้วยลายดอกไม้สีชมพูตุ่น นอกจากนี้ เขายังให้สายคล้องข้อมือลายเดียวกันและแท็กสีชมพูม่วงที่พิมพ์ลายแบรนด์มาให้ด้วย ด้านในของตัวกระเป๋าจะมีช่องใส่บัตรด้านละสามช่อง รวมเป็นหกช่อง และมีช่องใส่เหรียญที่มีซิปปิดอยู่ตรงกลาง ขนาดของกระเป๋า ไม่เล็กไม่ใหญ่จนเกินไป ทำให้พกพาในกระเป๋าสะดวก แต่อาจจะใส่ธนบัตรอยากสักเล็กน้อย เพราะต้องพับก่อนใส่ทุกครั้ง ทำให้เวลารีบหาขึ้นมา อาจหาธนบัตรใบที่ต้องการไม่เจอ

ชิ้นต่อมาจะเรียกว่าเป็นของจิปาถะจริงๆ สักทีก็ว่าได้ เราได้หมอนอิงชิ้นนี้มากจาก IKEA ในราคาที่ถูกมาก แต่ดีมาก มันนุ่มแบบดึ๋งๆ และช่วยรองรับหลังของเราเวลาเราทำงานหรือดูซีรีส์ได้ดี (คำเตือน: ถ้าจะว่ากันในทางการยศาสตร์ หมอนอิงชิ้นนี้อาจไม่ช่วยส่งเสริมสุขภาพใดๆ แต่เมื่อเทียบกับราคาแล้ว เรายืนยันว่ามันสบายมากจ้า) และเหมือนกับของชิ้นอื่นๆ หมอนใบนี้มาในสีชมพูอ่อนที่ช่วยให้รู้สึกสดชื่นได้ตลอดวัน

ชิ้นสุดท้าย แต่ไม่ท้ายสุด ได้แก่ ของจำเป็นในชีวิตประจำวันของเรา แว่นตา Graph Bell จากร้าน Own Day ขาแว่นเคลือบด้วยพลาสติกลายกระสีชมพูตุ่น สีขาวและสีชา ซึ่งเข้ากันได้ดีกับกรอบแว่นสีทอง นอกเหนือจากเรื่องของดีไซน์ ราคาแว่นของที่นี่ก็ถือว่าถูกอย่างมีเหตุผลทีเดียว โดยกรอบแว่นพร้อมเลนส์อันนี้ของเรา ราคาเริ่มต้นที่ 2,990 บาท แต่ถ้าอยากให้เลนส์ของเรามีความพิเศษเพิ่มขึ้น เช่น ต้องการให้ตัดแสงสีฟ้าด้วย ก็ต้องจ่ายเพิ่มอีก 3,000 บาท แต่โดยรวมแล้ว ก็ยังอยู่ในเรตที่ไม่แพงเกินไป และเมื่อบวกกับบริการหลังการขายที่ลูกค้าสามารถไปใช้บริการได้ทุกสาขาของ Own Day แล้ว เราก็นับว่าคุ้มอยู่

และทั้งหมดนี้ก็คือของสีชมพูสิบชิ้นที่เรามีและอยากแชร์กับทุกๆ คน หวังว่าจะได้ไอเดียของขวัญวันวาไลนไทน์ไปไม่มากก็น้อยนะคะ ?
