And he really improves himself every day as he said, we can see it through his achievement.
The first program that he attended was in 2004 when he just 10 years old and his first medal was the bronze medal in Japan Novice Championship in 2006. From the junior skater to senior skater in the 2010-11 season. Hanyu debut with 4th for NHK trophy and 7th in Cup of Russia. Even his first debut on the senior program was not successful that much but as he practiced a lot like he said that “If you cannot do it, practice until you can do it. If you can do it, then practice till you can do it perfectly. If you can do it perfectly, then practice until you can do it perfectly every time.”
In 2012, all of the thing that he had practiced is showing to the world. Hanyu got the medalist for Finlandia trophy and NHK trophy. Also, he finished Grand Prix Final at second. After that year, Hanyu still win a lot of competitions and broken both his personal and world record such as the highest score for short program or free skating and so on. However, the important thing that Hanyu focuses on is not his score or technical but it is the impression that he can give to the audience as he said “People may think my scores are wonderful, but I feel more motivated when I hear people say they like my performance and they want to watch it again. In order to impress and move the audience, I want to continue to train hard to make sure my jumps are consistent and the overall program is a complete package. I want to give the kind of performances that stay in their hearts.”
For this 2018-19 coming up, season Hanyu will be attending at Helsinki and Rostelecom Cup in Moscow for Gran Prix series.
